Pisa is the pearl of the “Versilia” Riviera. It has ancient origins, (quite before Rome) and thanks to the remarkable growth of its trade-economy and of its military power was one of the marine republic.
In the centuries the town was re-shaped respecting the original structure based on an urban texture in prevalence founded on civil or merchant buildings with a particular shape, which for their vertical growth were usually called "case-torre" (towers). Pisa has also impressive medieval architectures lovely streets, picturesque markets and mostly it is famous all over the world for the Leaning Tower and the Dome located in the grassy square called Field of Miracles.
