Radda in Chianti
Radda in Chianti is a an ancient town in the midst of the Chianti hillsides, situated in the heart of Tuscany 535 mt above sea level.
Inhabited from Etruscan times, during the Middle Ages, Radda suffered intensely from the bitter disagreement between Siena and Florence, sustaining grave damage following the invasion of the Senese troops. From the middle ages the town has conserved it's basic structure and several buildings such us towers, sections of the perimeter walls, the Church of San Niccolo and the Podesta Palace.
Today, Radda in Chianti has re-discovered its tourist vocation thanks to the Tuscan Enogastronomic tradition and to the natural and historical treasures so easily dispersed in the surroundings.

Palazzo del Podestà
The town hall, constructed during the XV century, was completely destroyed by the Aragon invasion in 1478. In 1700, the reconstructed building was enlarged by the addition of the second storey and the prison. It has served the Community of Radda as magistrate's office for more than four centuries. Coats of Arms of local families cover the outside facade of the building. Today there are 51 of them. On the first floor there is a recently restored fresco of Florentine school.
The city centre of Radda is a pedestrian area and the wedding hall is located in a cute piazza with a fountain, flowers and the main church. In case of warm weather ceremonies may take place under the loggia (outdoors) which is covered with frescoes dating back to the 14th century.
