Civil Ceremony

According to Italian law, civil ceremonies must take place on local council territory and are conducted by a Council officer with a professional translator. Generally these venues need to be booked six months prior your desired date. Foreign citizens, and in particular EU nationals, are not required to be a resident in the country before the wedding date. Through special agreements, some private venues have the permission to hold civil ceremonies on their grounds, indoors or outdoors. We have a great selection of these venues to present to couples that wish to get legally married in the same location where the wedding reception will also take place. I am able to assist you with putting together all the necessary paperwork. I will deal with the local authorities on your behalf and I can be your interpreter in English, German and French without any extra costs.

Same-Sex Ceremony

Finally civil partnerships in Italy have been legalized in Parliament!!!

Catholic Ceremony

Roman Catholic religious ceremonies are recognized under Italian Law as legally binding. There is no need for any additional ceremonies but atholic ceremonies are permitted only when at least one of the spouses is Catholic.

In the immediate outskirts of the cities, small picturesque villages with small countryside chapels offer the option of a more intimate, country chic ceremony, perfect also for small groups of guests. Alternatively, if you wish to celebrate in a grand way, many marvellous churches located in Italy's cities of art will welcome your wedding event. On request English-speaking priests can perform your ceremony.

Symbolic & Renewal Of Vows

A wedding blessing is the perfect alternative to church weddings and civil ceremonies. This is a ceremony in which a couple will exchange their vows. It does not have any official value but is a highly symbolic demonstration of a couples’ love for one another.

Symbolic ceremonies can take place almost anywhere, you do not need to arrange any legal paperwork and it can be officiated in your native language. You are welcome to bring along your own celebrant or we are happy to suggest to you ours. Together we will create a personalized ceremony completely tailored to your desires. We offer you the opportunity to have a ceremony that is unique, meaningful and personal to you. You can choose the content of your ceremony, have your celebrant write a beautiful script that reflects you as a couple or family and I can also assist in writing your vows and cement it in a ceremony with words that have personal significant for you and your partner. Our professional musicians will also give a personal and unique touch to highlight this magical moment.

A religious blessing is also possible. In this case a priest will perform the blessing.

To relive once again the magic of your wedding day, renewal of vows ceremonies are a great way to celebrate a special anniversary. I can assist in arranging your renewal of vows with a symbolic or religious ceremony which can be held in a private chapel, a garden, a castle, a villa, or even on the beach.

Protestant Ceremony

Protestant ceremonies can take place inside charming churches or you may have the Pastor come to a separate venue to perform the ceremony.

Jewish Ceremony

Jewish ceremonies can be held inside synagogues or at any private location you like.

Other Faiths Ceremony

Religious ceremonies for other faiths are possible, however, with only a few exceptions, they won’t have any legal value and you will have to arrange legalities before travelling to Italy or at the Town Hall in Italy.
