Your Special Happening is an Italian company based in Tuscany, in Montelupo Fiorentino to be exact, an ancient Medieval town situated in a strategic position between Florence and Pisa (18km from Florence and just 40 minutes from Pisa).
Our company was founded in 1995 and has specialized in arranging weddings and special events for foreigners in the most beautiful and exclusive locations of Tuscany.
Over the years, Your Special Happening has extended its activity beyond the organization of weddings, ceremonies, blessings and receptions to the planning of exclusive tours and special events in Tuscany as well as in the most romantic locations all over Italy such as in Venice, Rome and the Italian Riviera.
The will to grow and to innovate has always been the force behind the company, a company that was one of the first agencies to specialize in the organization of weddings in Italy for foreigners.
Your Special Happening is a tour operator, providing tailor-made services to all those interested in visiting or getting married in the most exclusive and hidden places in Tuscany and Italy.

Who we are
Mascia Scardigli graduated from the University of Florence in Modern Foreign Languages (English, German, French) and has worked in the tourism field, as a teacher and touristic guide in various European countries over the course of several years. She has a huge personal knowledge of Italy and Tuscany.
She has lived in France, Germany, England and Austria, always increasing her knowledge of Italian and international traditions.
Her large experience together with her energy and enthusiasm are a perfect combination for offering special help for all kind of needs.
Chiara Gheri graduated from Pisa University in Modern Languages (English and Spanish). As soon as�she finished university, she worked as a mediator for the Official Tourism Board of Florence (APT) in�the communications field and press office,�dealing with surveys related to the local tourism market. She was involved in press conferences about fashion events�and updated the restaurant guide of the best restaurants in the Florentine area according to food quality.
She has worked as a receptionist, in the front office desk and reservation department for an important hotel chain and has been particularly interested in events planning and destination marketing. During these years she developed a great passion for it since she�has always enjoyed using her knowledge of foreign languages and of the Tuscan area.
After such experiences, in 2007 she met Mascia and started working alongside her in the organisation of weddings for international couples, which entails booking venues, arranging catering and organizing all the details for the wedding.

Our Location
Our office is located in Montelupo Fiorentino which is particularly famous for the handicraft workshops producing wonderful ceramics. The city has, in fact, a brand new museum dedicated to Ceramics inaugurated in 2008 that is unique in Italy owing to the pieces exhibited, most of them the result of research work carried out throughout the territory. Every June the famous International Ceramics Festival takes place, a great event that attracts many tourists each year in the discovery of this beautiful corner of Tuscany.
